THE HEARTLAND PARTNERSHIP
The Heartland Partnership (H-P) is the umbrella organization for several economic development agencies in Central Illinois.  The Heartland Partnership provides strategic leadership, coordinates resources, and brings to life initiatives focused on developing, growing, and nurturing the heartland economy. It also serves as a catalyst for regional visioning and strategic thinking, and provides a forum for identifying regional issues and recommendations to be considered for action by the Economic Development Council for Central Illinois, the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, our other subsidiaries, and other appropriate non-affiliated entities.  As a public sector entity, TransPORT works with other organizations under the Heartland Partnership umbrella.

THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL FOR CENTRAL ILLINOIS
The Economic Development Council for Central Illinois is a proactive organization created by the private sector to foster economic growth within the Central Illinois region. By capitalizing on business expertise, the EDC enhances the local economy through targeted financial services, technical assistance, dissemination of critical economic data, and regional marketing. The EDC creates long-term solutions for our investors by cultivating strong relationships with local, state, and federal agencies. The EDC delivers value by developing synergies that attract and retain business.  To strengthen the regional economic community, the EDC collaborates with strategic partners such as TransPORT, The Heartland Partnership and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.

PEORIA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce is a champion for local business, providing the leadership necessary to promote a healthy business climate.  To accomplish its goals, the Chamber staff works to formulate policies that create a favorable business environment.  Hosting events in order for members to network is just one of the many activities Chamber provides that fosters communication and good will among the business community.  Chamber also provides a unified voice to the government, offering continuously upgraded products and strategic business services.
